UNICEF-KIT Nutrition Evaluation

The Society for Family Health is currently carrying out a formative evaluation of UNICEF Nutrition Initiatives implemented to prevent stunting among children in Nigeria and Liberia. This assessment captures the complexities and plurality of UNICEF interventions and strategies put in place in the field of prevention of stunting, focusing on the multi-sectoral and multidisciplinary approaches adopted in West and Central Africa, including Nigeria and Liberia.

The evaluation is funded by UNICEF and contracted to Society for Family Health by KIT Royal Tropical Institute in the two countries. The goal of the evaluation is to report results achieved by the children acceleration strategy, with donors and beneficiaries of the program as subjects of the assessments. Evidence from the evaluation will guide UNICEF on how to better replicate the most effective and efficient intervention models.
