SFH at the 2017 Cross River State Health Summit.
A two-day Health Summit with the theme ‘Translating Health Policies and Plans into Action’ which was organised by the Cross River state government and partners including the Society for Family Health held in Calabar, Cross River State between the 7th and 8th of August 2017. The Minister of Health @Prof Isaac Adewole, and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Senator Prince Lanre Tejuosho were also in attendance with other dignitaries and they launched a number of health projects including a specialist hospital. The Cross River state government is one of the state governments that has a state health insurance scheme in place aiming at Universal Health Coverage for its citizens.
SFH is proud to be collaborating with the state on a number of initiatives to promote Universal Health Care.
SFH shared its experience on social marketing in the public health and scaling up UHC at this important event. Also, took the opportunity to exhibit Society for Family Health, Nigeria high quality socially marketed products including #WaterguardPlus and Family Planning products …. Participants trooped to the SFH stand where their questions were attended to.
