The Global Fund Malaria directorate of SFH had its close-out PR/SRs retreat in Abuja from 3rd to 7th April, 2017. The theme of the retreat was ‘closing on a high note’. Dr. Ernest Nwokolo declared the retreat open by welcoming all participants and thanking them for a job well done, he encouraged them to make sure, the project close-out effectively on a high note. Participants were expressed their excitements of been part of the project and commitments to close well.
Some of the issues discussed during the retreat includes; project achievements, lessons learnt, challenges, close-out plan, reconciliation plan, asset management, source document management, financial management, exit advocacy plan and close-out dissemination plan.
Finally, the retreat ended with fun filled activities. Do you remember one of Harrysong’s hit track with the words ‘After the reggae play the blues’? For participants at the retreat it was a case of after the business comes the fun. Participants went on a fun trip to Jabi Lake, where they participated in football, volleyball, horse ride, sneak and ladder and boat cruise to wrap up the retreat.
